#3 Karena used whale ribs that where washed up on shore to build a fence because most of the bones where taken for ornament. she built the fence before she built her house because she didnt want the wolves to attack and kill her or eat stuff so she built the fence to protect herself and then she built her house

2nd reason she built her house was because there was sea elephants near by.
3rd reason she built her house was because she wanted to kill the wild dogs and if she built a hut there she could kill the dogs less time.

ReplyDeleteWhy did she want to kill a sea elephant? Well... on page 77 in the last paragraph it tells you that she wants to make a spear and the tusk like teeth for the top of the spear to make a tool. Plus the cows had to small teeth were not large enough.

She built the fence before the house because the foxes could get in the house and steal all the food she had stored up and they could hurt her for the meat so they don't starve,and they wolf pack could get in to her house while she is sleeping and kill her so they cold also have food like they did with ramo.

*reason 1 is that she could get at least some protection from wind and she could see the North coast and Coral Cove
*reason 2 is the main reason she built her house there it was because of the sea elephants so she could get food and make more iron spearheads
*reason 3 is she could kill the dogs that killed her brother since there hut was right there
#5 She wanted to kill a sea elephant for it's teeth. She wanted the teeth for part of a spear she was going to make. Specifically, a bull sea elephant's tooth.
